Road Test Requirements
Please bring every required document on the day of your test. Requirements differ for adults and teens.
Adults Age 18+
- Ages 18–24: Complete an Adult Driver Education course and bring your Adult Driver Education Certificate.
- Bring your Texas driving permit issued by DPS.
- All students age 18 and older: Bring a valid Adult Impact Certificate.
- Bring current proof of insurance if you will use your own vehicle for the road test.
Teens Under Age 18
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Must have held a Texas learner permit for at least six months.
- Bring a valid Teen Impact Certificate.
- Bring the Teen Driver Education Certificate marked “For Driver License Only.”
- Bring the completed 30-hour driving log.
- Bring a current Verification of Enrollment (VOE).
Take Your Road Test With Us
Complete your DPS-authorized road test at Baytown Driving School. Submit a request or call our office to confirm your documents and appointment.
After You Pass
Keep the DPS envelope sealed. Do not open it. Take the sealed envelope to DPS to complete the driver license process.
